The Manchester Soul Festival is back for the third year!
Following two successful years raising over £40,000 for The Christie we can’t wait to bring you more Soul and Motown bands, artists and DJs from across the region to perform in several of The Printworks venues on Sunday 27 August 2017. And of course raise lots of money for The Christie!
The event brings all the fun and nostalgia of Northern soul music and dancing to the streets of The Printworks whilst raising money for a charity close to a lot of people’s hearts.
Though the line up is yet to be announced, there will be performances from bands such as The Casino AllStars and the Soul Temptations to souls DJ’s like Ray Lee who last year raised over £1,000 on his own! Similar to last year, acts gracing the main stage will once again perform on the ‘Frank Byrne stage,’ named in memory of the Manchester legend who worked tirelessly to get the festival started and to make it a success back in 2015.
We are also planning lots of mini soul events leading up to the Manchester Soul Festival at The Printworks which we invite you all to and will advertise on facebook. These events will be free but will be sure to get you excited for the main event in August. The next event will be on Saturday 12 August 2-6PM featuring DJ Elvin, Committed2Blues and the Rumble Fat Band.
The event will commence at 12 noon on Sunday 27 August with the last acts performing until late.
Finally, a big thank you for your contribution and donations. All proceeds of these donations will go directly to The Christie. To purchase your event tickets please go to the JustGiving page here.
