When news hit town that evil wizard commander Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) has made a dramatic escape from MACUSA custody, someone must stop him before he empowers pure-blood wizards to reign supreme over all non-magical beings.
The only person who can potentially thwart the villainous wizard’s plans is his once dearest friend, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law). But Dumbledore needs the help of his ex-student and magizoologist, Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), who successfully managed to defeat him once before.
There’s only one problem: Newt is notoriously known for being bad at taking orders and there’s great speculation as to whether he’ll be prepared for the dangers that lie ahead this time around. Loyalty and friendship are pushed to their limits during this dangerous mission that divides the wizarding world.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is the second instalment in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them franchise, the offshoot to J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. The films sees the return of Eddie Redmayne (The Danish Girl) as Newt Scamander and is joined by a host of well-known faces including Johnny Depp (The Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl) and Jude Law (The Grand Budapest Hotel).
