Graduation is supposed to be a proud moment for any student emerging into the world. Not for Nick (Joe Thomas). Dumped by his girlfriend, Nick breaks down in front of his university peers, making a complete fool of himself.
Witnessed by his best friend, Shane (Hammed Animashaun), he decides to heal his friend’s emotional wounds by dragging him to a long weekend of hedonism: a music festival.
With the help of Shane and their eccentric friend, Amy (Claudia O’Doherty), Nick is shown the ropes on how to go wild at a festival, in the hope that he’ll fall in love the music, the madness and the mud.
A nipple piercing and being urinated on by another festivalgoer are just a couple of the surprises in store for Nick. A hilarious coming-of-age comedy about friendship, growing up and partying hard in a field.
A Fudge Park production, The Festival sees several members of The Inbetweeners team join forces again, with Iain Morris directing and Damon Beesley producing the film. Inbetweener’s legend Joe Thomas also stars alongside Claudia O’Doherty (Trainwreck) and Hammed Animashaun (Black Mirror).
Supporting them is Jermaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords), Hannah Tointon (Mr. Selfridge), and Kurt Yaeger (Sons of Anarchy).
