Eating gluten free can be a challenge at the best of times and eating out can be even harder.
The Printworks has put together a list of their favourite gluten free dishes that you can order throughout the scheme. Enjoy!
The Printworks is home to several food and drinks venues with dedicated gluten-free food and drink menu’s, including Frankie & Benny’s, Chiquito, Prezzo, and Hard Rock Cafe, who are all accredited by the official Coeliac UK agency. There’s also Bierkeller, whose Bratwurst are sourced from Germany and are totally gluten-free.
Chiquito boasts an impressive menu of gluten-free starters, mains, sides and desserts, including Habanero Mushrooms, Potato Skins, Salsa Potatoes and Beef Meatballs to start, with mains of fajitas, naked burgers, grills, fish and salads. Chiquito’s gluten-free menu also comes with a handy coded guide, covering vegetarian, healthy option, mild spice, hot spice, and volcano spice – what more could you ask for?
Prezzo’s gluten-free menu covers all of the classics and more, with an extensive menu of starters, meat and fish, pasta and risotto, pizza and desserts. Traditional Italian pasta lovers can go for the Spaghetti Carbonara, or can go slightly more adventurous with a range of other dishes. Its menu is extensive enough to satisfy all tastebuds and cravings, so being gluten-free won’t mean missing out.
Frankie and Benny’s officially accredited menu offers everything you’d expect from Frankie’s, even including gluten-free Peroni – Peroni Nastro Azzurro. There’s starters, burgers served on a gluten-free bun, pasta made with gluten-free fusilli pasta, and pizzas on a gluten-free base. Gluten-free foodies can still go fully loaded with a selection of potato skins, double-up burgers, and a huge Frankie’s banana split sundae. Yum.
Hard Rock Cafe’s gluten-free menu is just as impressive as its entire menu, with all of the staple dishes still available – wings, salads, salmon, steaks, ribs, burgers and sandwiches, even including the Legendary Burger. Still hungry after all of that? Allow yourself to be tempted by the cafe’s Hot Fudge Brownie and ice cream, or its special thick shakes. Wash it down with its gluten-free beer, Daura, the world’s most award-winning gluten-free beer.
