During the October half term holidays we held a range of events for Manchester families to enjoy.
In fitting with the upcoming Hallows Eve, there were some spooky events and activities going on. The Pump Yard played host to a Monsters vs Trolls flashmob, a Young Firefighter Experience, and a day of Halloween Craft-making – all for free!
The Printworks is the perfect destination for families with our selection of venues on offer, and with the extra activities we organise, there should be no other destination during the holidays.
So, what did we do?!
We held our very own Monsters vs Trolls flashmob!
We invited all the terrible trolls of Manchester to dust off their dancing shoes for an afternoon of terrifying dancing! The Printworks had face painters, prizes and some delightfully ghoulish tunes. The children had a dance off between Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ and Justin Timberlake (from Trolls movie) ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling.’
Watch the little monsters dance to Thriller here.
Wednesday 26th October – Halloween crafts
The Printworks brought in the fun experts, Sunshine Events, who kept little terrors busy with a day of Halloween crafts, offering children the chance to make their own Halloween spooktacular decorations ready to scare any unwelcome trick-or-treaters on Hallows Eve.
Thursday 27th October – Young Firefighter Experience:
The Printworks welcomed the Greater Manchester Fire Service Burns Camp and Young Firefighters Experience to the complex for a day of fire safety training, awareness, CPR and the chance to rescue the baby from the fire in the young fire fighter experience tent. A great event to teach the importance of fire safety especially with bonfire season nearly upon us.
We loved having the scheme full of children enjoying themselves and hope to put on more fun and games during future half terms!
