Dancing in the Street 2008
Dancing in the Street ... The biggest dance competition Manchester has ever seen came to The Printworks this Summer.
Dancing in the Street was split into four categories, each with its own heat as follows:
21st June - Swing including Jazz and Rock and Roll
Winners: Helen & Ben Birns and Paul Maguire & Hannah Armitage
28th June - Street Dance including Hip Hop, Breakdancing and Popping
Winners: Shockout and Jordan Lee and Andrew Lyle-Pinnock
5th July - Contemporary including Modern, Tap, Ballet, Ballroom, and Latin American
Winners: Jacobi and Eve & Patiyk
12th July - Disco including Freestyle
Winners: Bubblegum and Tia Lonie
The winners of each heat took part in the Grand Final on Saturday 19th July to compete for some fantastic prizes including £1,000 and the chance to go onto the books of a well known dance production company.
The winners of Dancing In The Street 2008 were SHOCKOUT who walked away with all the fantastic prizes... which were presentented by George Sampson the winner of this years 'Britain's Got Talent'.
